An act of Uttar Pradesh Legislature provided for the establishment of RYPGC and given approval for the status of a PG college. (THE UTTAR PRADESH STATE UNIVERSITIES(AMENDMENT) ACT, 2013).
On 4 December 2007, the RYPGC as a private college was included in the list of college maintained by the University Grants Commission under Section 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956. (UGC, Website – www.ugc.ac.in)
The institute is a affiliating institute and does not receive any aid or other financial assistance from the Central or State Government
